Caroline Louise Wood

Hello, I’m Caroline, an experienced, registered and qualified integrative psychotherapist offering face to face and outdoor therapy across North Lincolnshire and Hull, as well as online therapy covering the UK and some parts of Europe. I offer a flexible, supportive approach shaped around you, rather than expecting you to fit into a single way of working.
What will it be like to work with me?
Firstly, you do not need to arrive with the right words or a clear idea of where to begin. You may simply know that something feels difficult, stuck or no longer manageable on your own. Wherever we meet, through a screen, in a therapy room or walking side by side outdoors, we can begin with what is present for you.
Therapy with me is a collaborative process. Together, we slow things down and listen more closely to the thoughts, feelings and physical sensations that can be easy to overlook in everyday life. We might start by asking: What feels heaviest right now? What are you ready to understand, change or gently put down?
My way of working is integrative and intuitive, which means I do not expect you to fit into a single model of therapy. I draw on different perspectives in response to who you are and what you need. A Jungian perspective can help us explore the different parts of you and deepen your self-awareness. We may also use transactional analysis to look at your early experiences, familiar life scripts and the internal drivers that continue to shape how you respond to yourself, to other people and to the world around you.
The body is always part of the conversation. Tension, restlessness, numbness or a sense of unease can hold information that words have not yet reached. By noticing these responses with curiosity rather than judgement, we can begin to understand the patterns beneath them and create space for a different way of being.
At the heart of our work is a safe, grounded relationship in which you can be met as you are. There’s no pressure to move faster than feels right. Whether our sessions take place online, in a therapy space or outdoors in nature, I offer a steady space where you can explore, make connections and move towards change at your own speed.
You do not have to know the whole way forward. We begin in the here and now and when you feel ready we’ll move forward to the next step, working it out together as we go. Therapy with me is a journey, you set the pace, how often we stop for a break and when we end.
Looking forward to meeting you!
